Hedvig Wessel Edition

“I wanted a pole that feels light, clean, and effortless to reflect how I ski. The 25 mm grip gives me more control, and the new Rider’s basket moves beautifully through the snow. The Smiley coin is there for those moments before a big line or a race to remind me that skiing is supposed to be fun, no matter what.”

The Design Process

Hedvig has been involved in every part of the design process, creating a pole that mirrors her experience as an athlete and her deep connection to the mountains. The result is Kang’s lightest pole to date, weighing just 200 grams. A slimmer 25 mm EVA grip provides a natural, precise feel, while the 19 mm shaft made from recycled aluminum ensures both durability and sustainability.

The Smiley Coin

Each pole carries Hedvig’s signature Smiley coin, a small but powerful reminder to never forget the joy of skiing. For Hedvig, the Smiley is there when the pressure is on, before a competition run, or when standing at the top of something challenging to remind herself that skiing should always be fun.
